Short cycle sampling is a really useful technique – it allows the quick creation of complex, harmonically-rich waveforms with little effort. Once you have the basic waveform set up, you can then use your sampler as you would a subtractive synth, and in the case of Shortcircuit it’s possible to use the modulation section to control any parameter with just about any source.
This video shows you how to do this – from the creation of the initial waveform through to advanced modulation.
