Tuition is a core part of my business – I have been teaching Music Technology since 1998, and have been employed by a number of schools and colleges to design and/or deliver courses including BTEC and A-Level Music Technology.  In addition, I provide one-to-one tuition in music technology, covering a wide range of topics that are needed to be a complete music technologist in today’s music business.  I can provide one-off lessons, or create a more structured course of study to help you get to where you want to be.

Remote Sessions Available

I am available for online sessions for tuition – whether a one-off, or a regular series of lessons.  With screen sharing and a good internet connection, it’s possible for the lesson to work as well as it would in person, making it easier for you to work around your schedule and improve your skills – whether its a few questions you need answered, or a progressive syllabus to raise your skills to the next level.

Lessons are an hour long and at a discounted rate for a block booking of 6 or more lessons.  Lesson timings are flexible to account for your location and time zone.    A one-off session is £40, while a block of 6 lessons is £180, a 25% saving!

One-Off Seminars

Having taught in classrooms for over 20 years, I know that it can be difficult to cover every area of a specialised subject such as Music Technology in enough depth for everyone, and also that a change of pace and face in the classroom can revitalise any group’s studies.

If you need a specialist to visit your establishment to present a one-off course on any aspect of Music Technology, then  contact me to discuss how I can help you.

Staff Training

I can provide tailored inset training for teachers and lecturers who want to get up-to-speed quickly on either curriculum areas or technology and software to allow them to give their best – contact me to talk about a personalised quote for this service.

Pupil Training

If you’re currently studying Music Technology for an A-Level or BTEC qualification and wish to augment your studies with a private tutor, I can help with this, while ensuring that you adhere to the assessment and training guidelines of the exam board.

I can help you improve your skills using Steinberg’s Cubase software, which I’ve been using since the Atari days in the early 1990s, and I am a Steinberg Certified Trainer.  I’ve got a wide range of experience as a musician, producer and engineer, having recorded everything from 300+ performer avant-garde ensemble pieces lasting 2+ hours, to toilets (yes, really!), and everything in between.
