A quick note that all things being well, I will go in for surgery on November 7th.  Providing there is nothing else found and no complications, I should be able to make a full recovery, but this is of course not guaranteed.

However, I will definitely be out of action for a couple of months as the surgery is significant and I need to make a full recovery before returning to any kind of work.
