As you may know, I was diagnosed with cancer in 2024, and had surgery late in 2025.  The surgery was successful, but there was a complication which meant I was in hospital for longer than originally anticipated (three weeks), and recovery has been slower than I thought as a result.

In addition, I’m due to start chemotherapy late in January, and this will clearly impact me in terms of being able to work.  I don’t know at the time of writing how long this will take, or how long my recovery will be – this has certainly been a difficult time, even post-release from hospital.

Obviously this has impacted my ability to work significantly, and I’m intending to get the Cubase 14 version of the complete guide released as soon as possible, but it’s a significant update and means a lot of work – which is currently in progress but probably won’t be complete before I start chemotherapy.

While I am obviously pleased that people are keen to get their hands on a copy of the Cubase 14 edition of the book, I don’t have an ETA for that – I will post as soon as the book is ready for release, and then will start work on the version 5 edition of the Dorico book.
